Arjun Kumar


CEO

Arjun Kumar is the founder and CEO of Kela Medical Inc. - a medical device and services company. He has over 10 years of experience in healthcare administration and technology operations for the Whitby Cardiovascular clinic. Arjun has introduced numerous technology adoption projects to automate clinic operations making Whitby Cardiovascular one of the leading paperless clinic in the province of Ontario. Arjun created and marketed one of the popular products in the Whitby Cardiovascular clinic called the Emergency protection Card which has now expanded to other clinics and organizations. Arjun also provides consulting services in terms of healthcare & clinic administration, Electronic Medical Record implementation and Operations.

Ramesh Zacharias


President

Ramesh Zacharias is the President of Kela Medical Inc. Dr Zacharias was the Founder and CEO of Med-Emerg Inc which grew to become Canada’s largest physician staffing company with over 1000 employees. Over the years Med Emerg provided health care to over 4 million individuals. In addition it was involved in system design work in Primary Care and Emergency Medicine in North America and 14 countries internationally. He took the company public in 1998 on NASDAQ. Dr Zacharias continues to maintain a part time clinical practice in Chronic Pain Management and Long Term Care. He brings over 30 years experience in innovation in health care and management experience.

Daniel Sin


Chief Technology Officer

Daniel Sin, BASc. (Electrical, University of Toronto), MASc. (Aerospace, University of Toronto), MBA (Ivey). He has over twenty years of experience in Information Technology architecture, design and delivery in the software and telecommunication industry. He has held various technical and management positions including the director of system development and architecture in Sprint Canada. His recent consulting engagement with TELUS and Rogers Communications contributed to future technology deployments and directions. He has been a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario since 1991. He is in the process of being certified as a CISM (Certified Information Security Management) professional. Daniel has extensive technology and management consulting and trading experience in North America and Asia. Throughout his experiences, he has developed in-depth knowledge in business and technology management, software systems and their integration.

Poonam Kumar


Chief Financial Officer / Chief Privacy Officer

Poonam Kumar is a graduate of University of Toronto with a Bachelors of Arts and Sciences. She then obtained her CMA, Certified Management Accountant in 1992. She was a Corporate Tax Accountant with Inco Limited for 10 years. Since 1985 she is Chief Financial Officer of Whitby Cardiovascular, a Cardiovascular Diagnostic Laboratory.

She has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bayview Glen School, an independent school in North York, for the past 12 years, serving 7 years as Chair of the Board.

She is also a retired member of the Board of Directors of Round Square, U.K., a worldwide educational association, and currently the Chair of its’ foundation, Friends of Round Square Canada.

As well, she is a patron for AWIC, Association of Women in Canada, a social services association to help settle newly arrived immigrant women and those with family abuse.

Currently, she joins Kela Medical Inc. as the Chief Financial Officer.
